India eye 2-0 lead as Ranchi hosts West Indies 2nd T20I

India will look to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series when they face West Indies in the second game at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi on Friday. The match starts at 7:00 pm IST.
The hosts were in fine form in the series opener in Lucknow. Chasing 172, India won by eight wickets in just 14.4 overs. Captain Shreyas Iyer led the way with an unbeaten 102 off 43 balls, his first T20I hundred. He added 137 runs for the third wicket with Ishan Kishan.
West Indies were bowled out for 171. Shai Hope (52) and Sherfane Rutherford (56) were the main scorers. Debutant Naman Dhir took three wickets for India, while Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took two each.
West Indies need a much better show with bat and ball to stay alive in the series. India, on a ten-match winning run in T20Is, will aim for more of the same.
Context: the series moves to Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru after the Ranchi game.
