India's medal count at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 stands at 37, with four gold, 16 silver and 17 bronze medals, according to the latest standings. The tally marks a seven-medal addition since the country's Day 7 haul that pushed it into the top 10.

China continues to dominate the table with 119 gold, 48 silver and 38 bronze medals for a total of 205. Hosts Japan are second with 37 gold and 157 medals overall, followed by South Korea with 21 gold.

India's recent surge began on Day 7, when the kabaddi squads delivered a double gold and seven medals in all took the total to 30. Shooting remains India's biggest contributor, with medals also coming from athletics, cricket, badminton, rowing and weightlifting.

The table will keep shifting fast, with athletics, combat sports and new events like teqball, mixed martial arts and surfing still awarding medals. The Games, featuring more than 11,000 athletes from 45 nations, run until October 4.
