India Win Double Archery Gold at Asian Games

India finished the archery events at the Asian Games with a double gold, sealing the country’s best-ever showing at the continental meet. The recurve archers held their nerve in two tight finals to push India to the top of the archery medal table.
The women’s recurve team set the tone. Facing the host nation in a loud final, the Indian trio shot cleanly through four sets and took the gold with a 6-2 win. The archers kept their arrows inside the inner rings when it mattered most, drawing loud cheers from the Indian supporters in the stands.
Hours later, the men’s recurve team completed the double. They came back from a slow start to beat their rivals in a shoot-off, after both teams finished level on points. The final arrow landed close to the centre of the gold, sparking celebrations on the field.
The two golds underlined how far Indian archery has come. With a strong medal tally overall, the team returns home confident ahead of the world championship season. Coaches said the focus now shifts to consistency in high-pressure finals.
