Caldeira, Corbeanu Called Up for Canada vs USMNT

Canada have called up MLS attackers Marcus Caldeira and Theo Corbeanu for Tuesday's international friendly against the United States. The pair replace Cyle Larin and Tajon Buchanan, who withdrew from camp with injuries.
For 21-year-old Caldeira, it is a first senior call-up. The Minnesota United rookie has scored five goals with three assists in 11 appearances this season after being picked in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. The game is at Allianz Field in Minnesota — his home stadium — raising the chance of a dream debut in front of familiar fans.
Corbeanu, 22, returns to the national setup after last featuring in September 2022. The Toronto FC winger has eight goals and five assists in 46 MLS games since joining the club.
Canada face the USMNT on Tuesday, October 6, at 8 PM ET. The match airs on TNT, truTV, HBO Max, Universo and Peacock. Jesse Marsch's side are unbeaten against the US under his tenure, winning 2-1 in both 2024 and 2025 meetings.
