The Denver Broncos came back from a 16-point halftime deficit to beat the Los Angeles Rams 30-26 on Sunday Night Football. Down 16-0 at the break, Denver scored 30 second-half points at Empower Field at Mile High, capped by Bo Nix’s one-yard touchdown dive with 47 seconds left.

Denver tied the game at 16 with two third-quarter touchdowns and two two-point conversions. Safety Talanoa Hufanga then gave the Broncos their first lead with a 66-yard interception return off Matthew Stafford with 4:49 to play. Stafford answered with a 48-yard touchdown pass to Konata Mumpfield to put the Rams back ahead 26-23 with 3:38 left.

Nix led a 65-yard drive, helped by Rams penalties, to retake the lead. On the final play, Hufanga intercepted Stafford in the end zone on a pass aimed at Davante Adams to seal the win. Nix finished 17 of 34 for 186 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, according to NBC Sports. Stafford threw for 390 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Why it matters: the win lifts Denver to 2-1 and capped one of the wildest fourth quarters of the NFL season; the Rams fall to 1-2.
