Brampton Blitz edge Montreal Tigers by 7 runs in Super 60

Brampton Blitz beat the Montreal Royal Tigers by 7 runs in the 15th match of the Canada Super 60 at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on Sunday.

Batting first, the Blitz posted 149 for 4 in their 10 overs. James Vince top-scored with 73 off 31 balls, including nine sixes. Asa Tribe added an unbeaten 31 off 9 balls.

In reply, the Tigers finished on 142 for 5. Isuru Udana smashed an unbeaten 44 off just 14 balls, while Ryan Higgins made 34 not out off 18. But the Blitz held their nerve in the final overs to close out a narrow win.

Vince was named player of the match for his 73. Andre Russell contributed 33 off 17 balls for the Blitz before being dismissed.

The Canada Super 60 is a 10-over-a-side tournament being played in Vancouver. The Blitz have now won three of their five matches in the competition, with earlier wins over the Toronto Sixers and the White Rock Warriors.

The Blitz were the inaugural champions of the tournament, having won the 2025 edition. They will look to carry this form into the business end of the competition.
