Bhuvneshwar to lead India at Hong Kong Sixes 2026

Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar will captain India’s seven-member squad at the Hong Kong Sixes 2026, scheduled from October 30 to November 1.
The squad was announced this week and features Krunal Pandya, Shashank Singh, Rahul Tewatia, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi and T Natarajan alongside the 229-cap international Bhuvneshwar.
India have been drawn in Pool C with Pakistan and the UAE. The tournament will be played at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok, with defending champions Pakistan also in the fray.
The announcement comes as India look to end a long drought in the event. Their only Hong Kong Sixes title came in 2005, and they have lost nine of ten matches since the tournament’s revival in 2024.
Bhuvneshwar, one of India’s most successful white-ball bowlers, brings vast experience to a squad full of IPL performers. The short-format event rewards clean hitting and tight bowling, with each side playing six overs an innings.
