Australia Women Begin ODI Series Against Bangladesh In Brisbane
Australia’s women begin a three-match ODI series against Bangladesh at Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Friday. It is the first-ever ODI bilateral series between the two teams, and Bangladesh’s first bilateral tour of Australia.
Tahlia McGrath will captain the hosts, with regular skipper Sophie Molineux out through a hip injury. Australia are otherwise at full strength, with Ellyse Perry, Beth Mooney and Megan Schutt all named in the squad.
The home side are in strong ODI form, having won all six of their ODIs in 2026, including 3-0 sweeps against India and the West Indies. Perry said the team wants to bring its aggressive T20 World Cup-winning style into the 50-over game.
Bangladesh, led by Nigar Sultana, bring uncapped pace-bowling all-rounders Disha Biswas and Habiba Islam. The second and third ODIs are on October 11 and 14, with all three matches at Brisbane. All games will be shown live on Seven, 7Plus and Kayo.
