Trump Names Super Intelligence Force Leadership Team

President Donald Trump has unveiled the leadership team for his new Super Intelligence Force. The announcement came in a Truth Social post on Sunday, October 4.
Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton will chair the force, becoming the administration’s AI czar. Three others will serve as vice chairs: Federal Trade Commission chairman Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon undersecretary Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management director Scott Kupor.
The group will report directly to Trump and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles. Clayton said the force will have 120 days to report on the risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence and determine the federal government’s responsibility.
The force will coordinate the government’s engagement with consumers, public interest groups, religious organisations, infrastructure providers and AI companies. Vice President JD Vance, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, venture capitalist David Sacks and former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice will also be involved.
The announcement follows a White House meeting where AI leaders signed the White House Accord on Super Intelligence. OpenAI’s Greg Brockman, Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, Elon Musk, Google’s Sundar Pichai, Anthropic’s Dario Amodei and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg signed on.
Trump has rebranded artificial intelligence as super intelligence, calling it bigger than the industrial revolution.
