A video surfaced on Sept 27, 2026 appearing to show Delhi PWD Minister Parvesh Verma pulling down a man’s phone and striking him across the face during a road inspection in Tilak Nagar. A security guard intervened as the confrontation escalated.

The man has been identified as Saheb (Sahil) Singh, who says he handles social media for AAP MLA Jarnail Singh and was recording the inspection. Singh says he has lodged a complaint with the police. Police have so far only confirmed receiving the complaint and say the facts are being verified.

Responding to ANI, Verma said the viral video does not show ‘the whole truth’. He alleged that individuals accompanying the MLA abused his family during the inspection. Singh denies making any abusive remarks.

AAP MLA Jarnail Singh shared the video on X, alleging Verma lost his temper when road quality was questioned. Former CM Arvind Kejriwal shared the video, demanded Verma’s arrest and said he would visit Tilak Nagar on Sept 28.

What happens next: police are verifying the complaint, and the case could escalate the political row between the Delhi government and the Opposition.
