Narendra Modi will complete 25 years in public office on October 7, 2026. He became the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001.

He went on to become the Prime Minister in 2014. He was re-elected in 2019 and again in 2024.

The BJP is marking the milestone with a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. The drive runs from September 17 to October 17.

It includes service drives, health camps and exhibitions across the country. Party workers are leading the outreach. The month-long drive began on September 17. It will continue till October 17.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke about the tenure on September 13. He said Modi’s uninterrupted 25-year run as Chief Minister and Prime Minister transformed Gujarat and India. He credited him with changing the face of the state and the country.

Shah made the remarks while launching a yatra from Vadnagar to Varanasi. The yatra traces Modi’s journey from his hometown to his parliamentary seat. Vadnagar is where Modi was born. Varanasi is the seat he represents in Parliament.
