Gold Prices Recover as Investors Buy the Dip

Gold prices recovered after a brief correction, as investors used the dip to add to positions in the yellow metal.
The rebound came as central banks continued their steady buying and retail demand stayed firm, particularly in India ahead of the wedding season. Global uncertainty, from trade tensions to geopolitical hotspots, has kept safe-haven demand alive.
Analysts say gold’s long-term drivers remain intact. Expectations of lower interest rates reduce the opportunity cost of holding the metal, while persistent inflation worries push investors toward hard assets.
In India, jewellers report healthy footfalls despite high prices, with buyers adjusting to smaller grammages rather than postponing purchases. Digital gold and sovereign gold bond redemptions have also kept the metal in the news.
Technical analysts see support at recent lows holding firm, with momentum favouring the bulls. However, they caution that a sharp rise in the dollar or a hawkish turn by central banks could cap gains. For now, the trend remains the friend of gold investors.
