The National Testing Agency (NTA) will now have CISF security at its premises following the controversy over the NEET-UG paper leak, officials said. The Home Ministry has approved the security cover, with 39 CISF personnel deployed at entry and exit points of confidential areas.

The NTA has shifted its confidential operations to a 55,000-square-foot office in the Government of India Press Building on Minto Road in central Delhi. The move happened over the past month. Frisking, X-ray baggage screening and door frame metal detectors will now regulate access to confidential areas.

The move follows a CBI chargesheet in the NEET-UG paper leak case. According to the CBI, three subject experts acted as primary sources of the leaked paper. There was no frisking of experts entering or leaving the confidential section at the old Okhla office, and no dedicated control room for live CCTV monitoring.

The agency has also designated a chief information security officer post, with the selection process at an advanced stage. Officials said confidential areas will be strictly monitored to ensure a foolproof system.
