Adityanath Says Modi Emptied Pockets of Those Who Looted Public Money

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has attacked the opposition, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi has “emptied the pockets” of those who looted public money.
Adityanath spoke on Friday in Lucknow after a theatre performance based on “Namo Seva: Ankahi Kahaniyan.” The event was part of the BJP’s Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
He credited Modi with making sure welfare funds reach the poor directly through bank transfers. He cited the free foodgrain scheme, PM-Kisan and housing programmes.
“No person can sleep hungry,” he said, pointing to the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. He said farmers have been included in the government’s agenda for the first time.
He also listed infrastructure gains under the BJP government: highways, expressways, railways, metro systems and airports.
“In the past, no Prime Minister could claim that even a person wearing simple rubber slippers could travel by air,” he said. “Prime Minister Modi turned it into reality.”
The opposition has not yet responded to the remarks.
