2.7 lakh farmers yet to finish PM-Kisan e-KYC

More than 2.7 lakh farmers are yet to complete their PM-Kisan e-KYC, a mandatory step to keep receiving benefits under the scheme.
The e-KYC is compulsory for all registered farmers. Without it, the next installment of Rs 2,000 cannot reach their bank accounts.
The 24th PM-Kisan installment is expected during October-November 2026. The scheme pays Rs 6,000 a year in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each.
The 23rd installment was released on June 20, 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred Rs 18,880 crore to 9.44 crore farmer families in that round.
Farmers can complete e-KYC through OTP on the PM-Kisan portal. The mobile app also offers face authentication. Biometric verification is available at the nearest CSC centre.
Officials advise farmers to check their status on the portal. The name on records must match the Aadhaar card exactly. The bank account must be seeded with Aadhaar and linked to the NPCI mapper for the money to arrive.
