24 trains cancelled on Delhi-Rewari section till Oct 8

Commuters on the Delhi-Rewari rail section face major disruption this week. Northern Railway has cancelled 24 trains between October 5 and October 8.
The cancellations are for automatic signalling work between Delhi Sarai Rohilla and Palam stations. The upgrade aims to make train operations faster and safer.
A six-hour traffic block is planned on October 7, the heaviest day of the work. Eight other trains will run on diverted routes during the period.
The affected services include the Delhi-Jaisalmer Express, the Garib Rath to Bandra, the Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat and the Ajmer-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Jan Shatabdi. The Jaipur double-decker trains are also on the cancelled list.
Passengers can check train status on the Railways’ NTES app or by calling 139. The railways said the signalling upgrade will improve safety and allow faster services once the work is done.
Officials said the new signalling system will cut manual errors and reduce train delays. Railway staff will be posted at major stations to guide passengers, and extra buses have been arranged on the Delhi-Rewari corridor.
