Delhi Metro to start at 3:30 am today for IAF marathon

The Delhi Metro will begin services early today for the Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has announced. Trains will start running from 3:30 am on three lines.
Early services will operate on the Yellow Line between Samaypur Badli and Millennium City Centre Gurugram, the Blue Line between Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City or Vaishali, and the Violet Line between Kashmere Gate and Raja Nahar Singh Ballabhgarh. Trains will run every 30 minutes until 6 am, when the normal Sunday timetable resumes.
The early start is meant to help runners reach the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for the marathon, which is flagged off at 4 am. The event honours Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, the only Indian Air Force officer to receive the Param Vir Chakra.
The marathon features 5K, 10K and half-marathon categories.
DMRC regularly adjusts timings for large events in the capital. Commuters have been advised to check station timings before travelling.
