Delhi’s colleges and universities will host special voter-enrolment camps on September 29 and 30, aimed at first-time young voters.

The Election Commission’s drive targets students who turn 18 by October 1, making them eligible for the electoral roll. Form 6 will be available at the camps for new registrations.

Officials said the camps are part of the ongoing voter-list revision in the capital. Campus nodal officers will help students fill forms and clear doubts.

The move is expected to add thousands of young voters to Delhi’s rolls ahead of upcoming elections. Election staff will also accept correction requests.

Students were advised to carry proof of age, address and a photograph. The poll body said similar outreach will continue through educational institutions across the city. Officials said the campus push is part of a wider effort to lift enrolment among 18-to-19-year-olds, historically the most under-registered age group. Colleges have been asked to publicise the camp schedule widely among students.
