The BJP has targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi after the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) scored a big win in the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections.

Slamming the Congress leadership, BJP’s Sidharth Yadav said the ABVP victory reflected students’ rejection of what he called the politics of lies, deceit and propaganda.

A campus verdict with national echoes

DUSU elections are among the most closely watched student polls in the country, often read as a barometer of youth sentiment in the national capital. A decisive ABVP win therefore carries significance well beyond the university campus.
