Nadda to launch JOSH teams for TB fight on October 8

A new youth-led push against tuberculosis starts tomorrow. Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda will launch JOSH teams on October 8 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
JOSH stands for Joint Squad for Health. The programme is run by the Health Ministry with the Youth Affairs and Defence ministries.
In the first phase, the teams will work in 55 districts across 11 states. The goal is to take the TB Mukt Bharat message to the grassroots.
The teams will focus on TB awareness, early testing, and completing treatment. They will also work to reduce the stigma around the disease. MY Bharat volunteers and NCC cadets will take part.
Mansukh Mandaviya, Sanjay Seth, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will attend the launch. An achievement video on the TB Mukt Bharat campaign will be shown.
An AI-powered chatbot called Khushi Avatar will also be launched. It aims to spread public awareness about TB.
