Kodiak to present Phase 3 DAYBREAK eye-drug data

Kodiak Sciences will present full Phase 3 DAYBREAK results for its eye-disease drugs at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting this week.
The first scientific presentation of the DAYBREAK study covers Zenkuda and tabirafusp-ted in patients with wet age-related macular degeneration, a leading cause of vision loss in older adults. Dr Charles Wykoff will present the data during Retina Subspecialty Day on October 9.
Kodiak announced topline results on September 28. The study met its primary endpoint for both treatments, which showed non-inferior vision gains compared with aflibercept at one year.
The company will also present Phase 3 GLOW2 data for Zenkuda in diabetic retinopathy and early-stage data for KSI-101 in inflammatory macular edema. The AAO meeting runs October 9 to 12 in New Orleans.
Wet AMD affects millions worldwide, and longer-lasting treatments could reduce the burden of frequent eye injections. Investors and eye specialists will watch the detailed data closely.
