Free H. Pylori Screening Camps Announced in Three Indian Cities

US Cranberries, along with the Cranberry Institute, has announced free H. pylori screening camps in three Indian cities. The breath-test camps will be held at Sri Ramachandra Institute in Chennai, Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata and Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru.
H. pylori is a common stomach bacterium linked to ulcers and long-term gastric problems. The non-invasive breath test detects the infection quickly, and early detection makes treatment simpler and more effective.
The initiative was announced on October 6 as part of a gut-health awareness push. Cranberries contain proanthocyanidins, plant compounds that research has linked to urinary tract health, and the campaign also highlights emerging interest in cranberry’s role in digestive wellness.
Doctors caution that cranberry products are not a substitute for medical treatment. Anyone with persistent stomach pain, acidity or digestive symptoms should consult a doctor rather than self-medicate. The free camps are aimed at encouraging timely testing among people who might otherwise delay it.
