Udta Teer postponed: Ayushmann’s spy comedy moves to Oct 23

Ayushmann Khurrana's spy comedy Udta Teer has been postponed from October 9 to October 23, as the makers seek a cleaner release window. In an official statement, the makers said they want "a cleaner release window and a stronger theatrical runway instead of compromising on screens in a suddenly crowded marketplace."
The decision follows the historic box office run of Ajay Devgn's Drishyam: The Conclusion, which opened October 2 with a Rs 65 crore-plus opening day. This is the second postponement for the film, which was originally slated for September 11. October 16 sees two releases — Prahaar and Nayyi Navelli — while Udta Teer is currently the only major release set for October 23.Directed by Aakash Kaushik, the film stars Ayushmann as Bilal Ahmed, a Pakistani spy who loses his memory in India and joins the counter-terrorism unit. Sara Ali Khan co-stars. It is a Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment collaboration.
