The trailer of Tu Hai Meri Kiran, starring real-life couple Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, is out now ahead of its theatrical release on October 23. It is their first major lead project together since their wedding in June 2024.

Written and directed by Karan Rawal, the romantic thriller explores one-sided love, obsession and mystery. The title nods to the 1993 film Darr, where Juhi Chawla’s character was named Kiran. The film also stars Ankit Gupta, Sherlin Seth, Zarina Wahab and Purnendu Bhattacharya.

In a rare move, the trailer premiered in cinemas first, playing before Drishyam The Conclusion and other releases from October 2, before going digital. The 2-minute-17-second trailer carries a U/A 16+ certificate.

Produced by Vishal Rana under Echelon Productions, the film promises a blend of unrequited desire, suspense and twists, the makers said.

Karan Rawal makes his feature directorial debut. He earlier directed the short Half Full. The film’s tagline reads: “She found a connection; he found an obsession.”
