Taylor Swift released The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore on Friday, September 25, adding four new songs to her 12th studio album. The new tracks are “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.”

Swift first announced the single “Patient Zero” on September 22 and revealed the full four-track set the next day. In an Instagram post, she said the songs came together on a trip to Sweden with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback to celebrate the original album’s success. “We did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs,” she said.

The Life of a Showgirl debuted in October 2025 and set the record for the biggest single-week album sales. All 12 tracks entered the Billboard Hot 100’s top 12 at once. The release was accompanied by a listening-party film that topped the weekend box office.

Swift said the album’s success “completely blew my mind.” The Encore arrived just before a busy weekend that included the MTV Video Music Awards; Swift was notably absent from the Kansas City Chiefs’ road game in Miami on September 27.
