Tanushree Dutta reacts to Nana Patekar’s death: ‘Evil dead’

Actor Tanushree Dutta has reacted to the death of veteran actor Nana Patekar, who died of cardiac arrest in Goa on October 8 at the age of 75.
In a video posted on her Instagram stories, Dutta said she had heard the news but wanted to focus on a work event in Lucknow. “I will give my reaction once I figure out what kind of reaction I should have,” she said, offering “definitely condolences to the family.” She said the news had come on an important work day.
Her remark calling the situation “evil dead” drew sharp reactions online. Dutta had accused Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss in 2008 and revived the claims during India’s #MeToo movement in 2018.
Patekar denied the allegations. Mumbai Police closed the case in 2019 with a B-summary report, citing lack of evidence.
Context: Patekar was cremated with full state honours in Pune on October 8.
