Shakti Shalini will be Nana Patekar’s last film on screen, reports confirm. The horror comedy is part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.
The film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, with a screenplay by Durgesh Singh. It stars Aneet Padda in a double role, along with Vishal Jethwa, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Seema Biswas.
The story follows Shakti, an ordinary girl who turns into a protector, and Shalini, a vengeful spirit. The shoot was wrapped in May this year.
Patekar plays a key role in the film. For fans, it will be his final big-screen appearance after a career of five decades.
The film was first planned for release on December 24, 2026. Some reports say it may now move to the first quarter of 2027 to avoid a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s King.
Patekar will also be seen in Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha, which is set to release on December 4, 2026. But Shakti Shalini will mark his last completed shoot.
