Ravi Kishan is set to headline an untitled devotional drama presented by Mahaveer Jain Films.

The film will be one of the rare Hindi films in which Kishan plays the sole leading man. Written and directed by Amit Aarryan, it tells a contemporary story of a man whose deep devotion to God treats the divine as a closest friend.

The project marks Kishan’s second collaboration with Mahaveer Jain after Naagzilla. The actor has been on a strong run with Mirzapur The Movie and his award-winning turn in Laapataa Ladies.

Producers include Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Vinayak Kumar, Kavin Shah and Shikha K Ahluwalia. The film is expected to go on floors in January, with the title yet to be locked.

The makers describe it as a clean, wholesome family entertainer blending spirituality with humour and emotion.

Kishan, who is also a politician and an internet sensation, was deeply impressed by the script and agreed to come on board immediately, according to reports.
