Fire Breaks Out Near Ramayana Set At Mumbai’s Film City, No Injuries

A fire broke out at Mumbai's Film City on Monday near the shooting area of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi's Ramayana. No injuries were reported. The Mumbai Fire Brigade said the Level-I fire was reported at 4:02 PM behind Reliance Media Works and Prime Focus in Goregaon East.
It was put out by 4:55 PM. The blaze damaged electric wiring, cables, fittings, doors, wooden planks, AC units, bamboo, plastic items, and shooting equipment. It was inside a PCR unit on a 100 by 20 foot temporary set.
Fire brigade, police, BMC ward control, and ambulance services reached the spot. Videos of the smoke went viral on social media. The head of the film workers' federation, B N Tiwari, confirmed the incident.
He said shooting could resume and called the fire minor. Some reports said the fire was outside the Ramayana sets, near other productions. The film's team said the fire was not on the actual Ramayana set.
They denied the viral visuals were from the production. Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol. Part one is set to release on November 6.
