Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana Part 1 has emerged as the most anticipated Indian movie on IMDb, dominating two-thirds of page views on the platform’s India Spotlight list. The ranking was reported on Tuesday.

The film’s lead over other upcoming releases is striking. IMDb’s anticipated list tracks what users are actively looking up, making it a strong signal of audience interest ahead of release.

Ramayana Part 1 is among the most ambitious Indian productions ever attempted. The epic retelling carries huge expectations, with fans tracking every poster and behind-the-scenes update.

Anticipation rankings often shape release strategies. A strong early lead can help a film lock in screens and marketing partnerships months before opening day.

The makers have been rolling out posters and event appearances to keep the buzz alive. With months to go before release, the film’s grip on the anticipation charts shows no sign of loosening. Trade analysts say the sustained buzz gives the producers strong leverage in negotiations.
