Metallica adds 12 North American stadium dates for 2027

Metallica has announced a new leg of 12 North American stadium dates for the M72 World Tour, kicking off May 8, 2027 at BC Place in Vancouver and ending June 19, 2027 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, the band revealed on September 16.
Limp Bizkit and Avatar are confirmed as support acts for every date. The 2027 shows are one-night-only concerts rather than the two-night 'No Repeat Weekend' format, and will use the M72 in-the-round stage with the Snake Pit set at the stadium's 50-yard line.
The route runs from Vancouver to San Diego, El Paso, San Antonio, Fayetteville, Kansas City, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Madison and Cleveland before closing in Salt Lake City. Fan club presales began September 21 and the general on-sale started September 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
Part of each ticket's proceeds will benefit local charities through the band's All Within My Hands foundation. The leg follows Metallica's Las Vegas Sphere residency, which runs October 1, 2026 to March 13, 2027; the M72 tour has played 99 shows in 26 countries since its April 2023 kickoff.
