Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha producer alleges negative marketing

The producer of Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha has alleged that his film faced a negative-marketing campaign. Prakash Mahobiya hinted that people linked to the big-budget Ramayana team could be behind it.
“We never got a chance to reach our audience,” Mahobiya said, according to reports. He suggested that the rival project, which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash in a key role, may have had a hand in the campaign against his film.
These are the producer’s allegations, and they have not been independently verified. Such claims between competing projects are not unusual in Bollywood and often spark controversy.
The big-budget Ramayana, directed for a 2026 release, has been in the news for its scale and casting. Mahobiya said his film never got a fair chance to reach audiences, a claim that has divided opinions in entertainment circles.
Ramayana remains one of 2026’s most awaited Indian films. The allegations add a fresh layer of off-screen drama to the conversation around the two Ramayana-themed projects.
