Janhvi Kapoor showcases Indian craft at BoF 500 Gala in Paris

Janhvi Kapoor brought Indian craftsmanship to the international fashion spotlight at the BoF 500 Gala in Paris, held on October 3 during Paris Fashion Week.
The actor wore a custom creation by Pankaj S Heritage, styled by Rhea Kapoor. The ensemble reinterpreted the traditional six-yard silhouette with a contemporary design featuring a low-slung drape, bare shoulders and a floor-skimming pallu.
The outfit was crafted from 460-count Bengal muslin in an off-white, ivory tone. Stylist Rhea Kapoor described the fabric as "woven like air" and the truest form of luxury, noting that the muslin khadi was unbleached, called "Khud-Rang", and woven solely in India.
The ivory base was paired with intricate handcrafted adornments, featuring gold beads, pearls, shells, emeralds, polkis and tassels arranged from the shoulder down the arm. She paired the saree with a matching bustier-style blouse with delicate straps.
The look was widely framed as a deliberate presentation of Indian textile craft on a global stage, pairing an ultra-fine traditional fabric with contemporary couture details.
The BoF 500 Gala brings together some of the biggest names shaping the fashion industry, from designers and models to executives and entrepreneurs.
