James Spader returns as Ultron in new ‘VisionQuest’ trailer

Marvel has released a new trailer for “VisionQuest”, the eight-episode Disney+ series that wraps up the “WandaVision” trilogy. Paul Bettany returns as Vision, and James Spader returns as Ultron, 11 years after “Avengers: Age of Ultron”.
The trailer debuted on October 1, according to reports. It follows Vision, rebooted and in hiding after escaping those who wanted to turn him into a weapon. He goes on the run with Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious boy who may be his son, reincarnated.
Spader voices Ultron again and also appears in a human avatar with grey hair and a beard. Showrunner Terry Matalas says Vision showed mercy at the end of “Age of Ultron”, which is how the villain survived.
The series also brings back James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., with Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H. and Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y. It is Bettany’s first live-action MCU appearance since “WandaVision”.
“VisionQuest” premieres on October 14 on Disney+, with two episodes at launch. It follows “WandaVision” (2021) and “Agatha All Along” (2024) as the trilogy’s final chapter.
