Hema Malini will pay a special tribute to the late Dharmendra at the Celebrate Cinema Festival on Thursday. The festival is taking place at Whistling Woods International in Mumbai. It runs from October 7 to October 9.

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has organised the three-day event. It brings together leading figures of Indian cinema for conversations around the craft. Ghai said the festival would see each day spotlight a different cinematic journey.

On October 7, Aamir Khan took part in a session around his film Sitaare Zameen Par. Thursday’s programme features Hema Malini and Rana Daggubati. On Friday, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali will join for a session around his film Main Wapas Aaunga.

Ghai will also interact with students and aspiring filmmakers. He said about 2,000 students were expected to attend the festival. The event creates a space for meaningful conversations about cinema.

The festival is open to all cinema aspirants. Ghai thanked the participating artists for joining the celebrations with students.
