Earthshot Prize 2026 night heads to Mumbai on Nov 17
The Earthshot Prize 2026 Awards Night will be held in Mumbai on November 17, marking the first time the honour comes to India.
Alia Bhatt has been confirmed as a presenter and will hand out one of the five awards. She will share the stage with Rami Malek, Sachin Tendulkar, Simone Ashley and Sonam Kapoor.
Karan Johar will host the evening before around 5,000 guests. Shreya Ghoshal will perform live. The event is sponsored by the Serum Institute of India.
Founded by Prince William in 2020, the prize awards five £1 million prizes each year for environmental solutions. This year it streams globally on Prime Video for the first time.
The ceremony will reach more than 240 countries in over 40 languages. Bhatt called the prize about hope with ideas and action.
The 15 finalists will compete across five categories, including protecting nature and fixing the climate. Earthshot Ambassadors Robert Irwin and Nomzamo Mbatha are also expected to attend the Mumbai ceremony.
