Nani’s action drama ‘The Paradise’ has crossed Rs 154 crore at the worldwide box office in its first week, trade trackers said.
According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 3.4 crore net in India on day seven, taking its India net total to Rs 104.9 crore. The India gross stands at Rs 123.95 crore, with overseas collections of Rs 30.85 crore, for a worldwide gross of Rs 154.8 crore.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, the film released on September 24 and stars Nani alongside Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni and Raghav Juyal, who makes his Telugu debut as the antagonist.
The film opened strongly with one of the biggest openings of Nani’s career, though weekday collections have dropped sharply. It faces competition from ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ and other releases.
Trade analysts said the second weekend will decide the film’s final fate. Made on a reported budget of Rs 200 crore, ‘The Paradise’ needs a strong hold to be called a hit. The film has entered the Rs 100 crore club in India despite mixed reviews.
