George Michael’s Faith Tour live album out Nov 6
An 18-track live album of previously unreleased George Michael recordings will be released on November 6 via Sony Music.
“The Faith Tour” was recorded on May 30 and 31, 1988, at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy during the European leg of Michael’s first solo tour.
The album features live versions of all the classic singles from Faith, including “Faith”, “Father Figure”, “One More Try” and “Monkey”.
It also includes Wham! hits “Everything She Wants” and “I’m Your Man”, plus covers of Stevie Wonder’s “Love’s in Need of Love Today” and Labelle’s “Lady Marmalade”.
The recordings were mixed by Chris Porter and David Austin and mastered by John Webber. Formats include 2-CD, vinyl and a deluxe box set.
A companion concert film premieres in cinemas on November 4 in some regions and November 6 in the UK, including IMAX. North America follows on December 11.
Faith made Michael the only British male solo artist with four US No.1 singles from one album — a record that still stands.
