JioStar calls Drishyam an ‘enduring IP’ as Hindi saga ends

JioStar executive Alok Jain has described Drishyam as an enduring intellectual property, saying audiences have truly made it their own. He was speaking at the FICCI-Frames media convention in Mumbai alongside Ajay Devgn.
Devgn confirmed that Drishyam 3: The Conclusion ends the Hindi franchise. He said the Hindi film follows a completely different script from the Malayalam Drishyam 3 and leaves no loose ends. The Malayalam version, released earlier this year, grossed Rs 239 crore.
Meanwhile the franchise is going global. Director Abhishek Pathak said the Korean adaptation begins filming in late 2026, the Spanish version is underway, and a Hollywood adaptation is being written. All will be theatrical releases made with local producers, starting from the first film's story.
Drishyam 3 released in theatres on October 2. Jain, who heads Hindi and English entertainment at JioStar, said the franchise's journey from a 2013 Malayalam original to a global property shows the power of strong storytelling.
