Drishyam 3 earns Rs 53.48 crore on Day 2, nears Rs 116 crore
Drishyam 3: The Conclusion collected Rs 53.48 crore nett in India on its second day, taking its two-day total to Rs 116.48 crore nett, according to BoxOfficeIndia24’s confirmed figures.
The film was down 15.1 percent from its record Rs 62.03 crore opening day on Friday. Bollywood Hungama’s early estimate of Rs 50-51 crore also pointed to a strong hold at blockbuster levels.
Strong occupancy across multiplexes and single screens drove the Saturday number. National chains PVRInox and Cinepolis continued to contribute heavily, with night shows at 74-75 percent occupancy, trade trackers reported.
The two-day total puts the film on track to cross Rs 165 crore in its opening weekend if Sunday brings the expected jump, Bollywood Hungama said. Overseas figures are still being counted.
The numbers confirm Drishyam 3 as a box-office juggernaut. With no major competition in the coming weeks, the Ajay Devgn thriller is racing toward becoming the biggest blockbuster of his career.
