Drishyam 3 cleared by CBFC with U/A 13+ rating
The Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification with a U/A 13+ rating. The certificate came ahead of its October 2 release.
The board cleared the film with no visual cuts, and its certified runtime is 2 hours 41 minutes. The thriller reunites Mohanlal with director Jeethu Joseph.
Drishyam 3 is among the most awaited Malayalam releases of the year. The first two films were major hits, and the franchise has been remade in several languages.
Trade watchers expect a strong opening at the Kerala box office. Advance bookings opened soon after the censor certificate was issued.
The Hindi remake rights and release plans are yet to be announced. Fans of the franchise have been counting down to the October release.
The first Drishyam released in 2013 and its sequel in 2021, both directed by Jeethu Joseph. The franchise has been remade in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.
