Several outlets reported on Friday that Morea was arrested after nearly eight hours of questioning at his Bandra residence, citing a Mid-Day report. The actor denied the arrest, telling the publication it was “not true.” EOW officials have not independently confirmed an arrest.
The case alleges a 65.54 crore rupee loss to the BMC in Mithi river desilting contracts. Thirteen people have been booked. Contractor Ketan Kadam was arrested in May 2025.
