Imam Siddique calls Salman Khan’s remark defamatory
Imam Siddique has objected strongly to being mentioned on Bigg Boss 20. He called host Salman Khan’s reference to him extremely defamatory and factually incorrect.
During Saturday’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman was schooling contestant Qazi Touqeer over his behaviour towards Kanika Mann. While making his point, Salman said, “Imam Siddique ne bhi yeh kiya tha.”
Imam, a controversial contestant from Bigg Boss Season 6, wrote an open letter to Salman on Instagram. He said he never harassed any contestant with the intent to trouble them.
“My journey in Bigg Boss Season 6 was based on entertainment, tasks and performance. I completed my journey with dignity,” he wrote. He added that the remark could harm his hard-earned reputation and his family’s honour.
Imam asked for a clarification and correction on the show. He also requested that his name not be used in a defamatory context in future.
Salman had been reprimanding Qazi over a lollipop remark made to Kanika during a roleplay. The incident has added to the drama around this season of the reality show.
