Ayushmann’s Udta Teer pushed to Oct 23 amid Drishyam 3 storm

Ayushmann Khurrana's spy comedy Udta Teer has been postponed by two weeks and will now release on October 23 instead of October 9.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the new date on X. The makers said they wanted a cleaner release window with fewer competing films.
The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana alongside Sara Ali Khan, with Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev and Ram Kapoor in key roles. It is directed by Akash A Kaushik and produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga.
The postponement comes as Ajay Devgn's Drishyam: The Conclusion storms the box office. The film collected over Rs 65 crore on its opening day on October 2, becoming the second-biggest Hindi opener of 2026.
A strong second weekend for Drishyam 3 would have eaten into Udta Teer's screens. The makers said the trailer and promotions were generating encouraging buzz and the extra time would give the film a stronger theatrical runway.
October 23 is now shaping up as a crowded date, with Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's Tu Hai Meri Kiran also releasing the same day.
