Kher is currently in New York as part of his North American tour with his musical play “Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane.” During the visit, he spent time with De Niro at the veteran actor’s home.

Taking to Instagram, Kher shared pictures from the meeting. “Meeting Mr. Robert De Niro! How could I come to America and not meet my dearest friend, and world’s FINEST actor?” he wrote.

He thanked De Niro for inviting him home and for a lunch. “Thank you, dearest Mr. De Niro, for inviting me into your home, for the delicious lunch, and for your love and warmth,” he added.

Kher also thanked De Niro’s family, including Tiffany, for the memorable experience. He ended his note with special thanks for a cap De Niro gifted him, calling the gesture one that “means the world to me.”
