Anil Kapoor wins Best Actor honour for Subedaar
Anil Kapoor and director Suresh Triveni have won National Winner honours for Subedaar at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2026. Kapoor won Best Actor in a Leading Role and Triveni won Best Direction for a feature film.The awards announced national winners across 18 countries and territories in Asia Pacific. Subedaar is among the Indian titles advancing to the Grand Finals.Kapoor plays retired soldier Subedar Arjun Maurya in the action drama, which released on Prime Video.
He will represent India in the Best Actor category at the gala in Singapore on December 3.Jackie Chan was among the other honourees, recognised for China’s The Shadow’s Edge. In all, 335 entries won national honours across 39 categories.Subedaar was produced by Vikram Malhotra, Triveni and Kapoor. An international jury will now pick the overall Asian winners at the December gala.
