Anil Kapoor has won a top acting honour for Subedaar at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2026. He was named National Winner for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Kapoor plays Arjun Maurya, a retired soldier struggling with civilian life while fighting local corruption to protect his family. Director Suresh Triveni also won a National honour for Best Direction of a Feature Film. The film additionally secured India’s Best Feature Film national title. The awards body announced the wins on social media. It congratulated Kapoor on his remarkable performance. The recognition adds another milestone to the actor’s long career. Kapoor thanked Triveni, his co-stars and the audience. He said the honour holds a special place given the effort behind the film. Both winners will now represent India at the Grand Gala Final in Singapore on December 3. There, an international jury will pick the overall Asian winners. The 2026 National Winners span 335 entries across 18 countries and territories. They were revealed in a livestream on September 30.
