The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has taken over security at the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) new Delhi office following scrutiny over the 2026 NEET-UG paper leak. A 39-strong CISF contingent has been deployed under Home Ministry-approved cover at the premises.

The NTA’s new office spans over 55,000 sq ft in the Government of India Press Building on Minto Road, New Delhi, covering the fifth floor and parts of the fourth and sixth floors. Confidential operations were shifted there from the old Okhla office within the last month.

CISF personnel will man entry and exit points, regulating access to confidential areas with frisking, X-ray baggage screening machines and Door Frame Metal Detectors. Confidential zones have been demarcated with strictly monitored movement, cybersecurity has been strengthened, and a Chief Information Security Officer is being appointed.

The move follows the CBI chargesheet in the 2026 NEET-UG leak case, which identified three subject experts as primary leak sources. Investigators found there was no frisking at the confidential section and no dedicated CCTV live-feed control room at the old office. The Supreme Court had earlier reprimanded the NTA, saying it had not learnt its lessons.
