The education ministry has invited applications for the post of director at IIT Delhi. Documents must reach the ministry by October 31, according to the notification.

The post carries a fixed pay of Rs 2.25 lakh per month plus allowances. The director serves as the academic and administrative head of the institute, and the appointment is for five years or until the age of 70, whichever comes first.

Applicants should have an outstanding academic record and experience guiding PhD students, with at least 10 years of teaching experience as a professor. Candidates should preferably be below 60 years of age.

Applications must be sent through registered or speed post, and details are available on the higher education department’s website. The ministry has also opened director recruitment for IIT Mandi and IIT Indore. Professor Rangan Banerjee is the current director of IIT Delhi.
