The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to begin the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2027 between February 15 and 17, with the date sheet likely to be released in October 2026. Last year, the board released the final date sheet on October 30, with a tentative schedule published earlier on September 24.

Once published, students can download the subject-wise timetable from the board's official website, cbse.gov.in. The date sheet will carry examination timings, subject names and codes, and instructions for candidates.

The 2026-27 session brings a major change for Class 10: the board will hold two sets of board examinations in the same academic year, with the first mandatory and the second optional for students seeking to improve their grades. Sample papers and marking schemes for the 2026-27 session have already been released, and schools are advised to plan syllabi around the February start. Schools have also begun collecting the List of Candidates for the 2027 examinations, with the board urging heads to complete registrations through the OASIS portal on time.
